Kieffer & Co.,Inc. and Optec set ground at the Sears Centre
In September of 2014 a 16mm full color spectacular display by Optec set ground at one of Chicago’s premier entertainment destinations, Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Optec is pleased to have partnered with Kieffer & Co. Inc., an experienced national sign company manufacturer, for this dynamic and high profile project.
The Sears Centre is owned and managed by Spectrum Global a worldwide leader in venue management. Since it’s establishment in 2006, their original display operated with many problems. Due to the high monthly maintenance costs and difficulty securing replacement parts, James F. Woods, National Sales Manager with Kieffer & CO., Inc., a national sign company, presented the Sears Center and Global Spectrum management team with a better long term solution and introduced Optec Displays to the team.
Sears Centre Teams with National Sign Company Manufacturer
Following the demonstrations, in depth conversations with Optec display owners in cold weather environments, and webinar sessions with Optec engineering and technical teams, Optec Displays along with Kieffer & CO., INC. were awarded the project! The General Manager at the Sears Centre was adamant that Optec’s Parts and Labor warranty was the driving factor in awarding the project to Kieffer Signs and Optec Displays.
The double face 16mm 15′-0 x 30′-0″ (272 x 560 matrix) spectacular, installed by Kieffer & CO., INC., can be seen along I-90, also known as the James Adams Memorial Tollway, where nearly 1 million travelers pass daily. With this type of traffic count, having a display functioning at 100% is imperative when operating a state of the art entertainment venue. The Sears Center management team understands the importance of first impressions, after 90 days of operation, advertising success has increased 18%.
In March, Sears Centre will be hosting the Midwest Regional Finals for NCAA Basketball. Optec Displays will be providing a 6mm – 8′-0″ x 30′-0″ interior display for the tournament. One half of the display will be used for players names and statistics and the other half of the display will be used for video replay and advertising.
The positive feedback from the Sears Centre Global Spectrum, the Village of Hoffman Estates, and the community has been overwhelmingly supportive. Thanks to James F. Wood and Kieffer & CO., INC. for allowing us this opportunity. This success story showcases that yet again; with our great partners and our principles of quality product, services and warranty, we can win many hearts as a National Sign Company Manufacturer.
